Pricing FAQ
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Open the Stripe customer portal from the link in your purchase receipt (or in Settings → Account inside the extension), hit Cancel, and you'll keep Pro until the end of your current billing period. After that you drop back to Starter automatically. No retention pop-ups, no email loops.
Is there a free trial?
The Starter tier is the free trial: it's free forever and includes the core 8 actions running on-device with Gemini Nano. Try it for as long as you want. Upgrade to Pro when you actually need custom actions, chains, or your own cloud keys.
What payment methods do you accept?
Anything Stripe accepts in your country: card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, JCB), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, and several regional methods like SEPA Direct Debit and iDEAL. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card details.
Do I pay anything to the AI providers on top of $5?
If you use Gemini Nano (the default) or Ollama, no, both run locally. If you connect a cloud provider like OpenAI or Anthropic, you pay that provider direct using your own API key, on their pricing. ClipAction never proxies or marks up provider costs. Most actions cost a fraction of a cent.
Can I use Pro on more than one device?
Yes. Pro is licensed per-person, not per-device. Restore your subscription on a new computer with the email you used at checkout via Settings → Account → Restore Pro inside the extension.
Do you offer refunds?
If something's broken or you're unhappy in the first 14 days, email clipactionsupport@protonmail.com and we'll refund you. After that, cancel any time and Pro will end at the end of your current billing period.
Will the price ever change?
If we ever raise the price, existing subscribers stay locked in at the rate they signed up at, for as long as they keep their subscription active. New customers would pay the new price.
